Job summary

Chamberlain West Hollywood is seeking a Full-Time Valet Attendant to deliver attentive parking services and warm guest experiences at our upscale hotel in West Hollywood, CA.

You will greet guests, park and retrieve vehicles safely, assist with luggage, and provide information about hotel services and local attractions. A strong focus on safety, teamwork, and a courteous, service-minded attitude is essential for success in this fast-paced role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.

Job description

A multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Full-Time Valet Attendant at Chamberlain Hotel in West Hollywood, CA.

Job Purpose

Under general supervision, provides parking services to hotel guests and ensures their satisfaction and comfort by promptly and courteously responding to guest requests. Park and retrieve customer vehicles in specified areas in a safe and efficient manner. Provide accurate and timely documentation of vehicle checks, vehicle damage, and other conditions prior to service. Promote courteous treatment of guests and resolve guest service issues in a timely manner. Warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance reassure guests they’ve made the right choice to stay with us.

• Upon arrival, greets and assists guests by helping unload luggage from vehicle and transporting to their room, personally carrying the luggage, or using a luggage cart. Park and retrieve customer vehicles in specified areas in a safe and efficient manner.
• Upon departure, assists the guest by transporting luggage from room to lobby, and helping the guest load luggage into vehicle.
• Responds to guest needs by promptly delivering laundry, newspapers, iron & ironing board, additional linens, etc., in person. Maintains written log recording these requests and deliveries
• Responds to inquiries and promotes the hotels services, in person and on telephone, by explaining products/services. Provides the guest with up-to-date hotel information in order to enhance customer relations.
• Communicate hotel vehicle maintenance needed to engineer in a timely manner and follow up on completion.
• Obey all traffic and driving regulations.
• Remain on scheduled route at all times.
• Ensure safety of all passengers and their belongings.
• Complete transportation log.
• Keeps abreast of local activities and the area's establishments in order to answer questions, recommend and give directions.
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
• Cleans lobby areas and entrances and maintains them free of debris in order to present a clean and attractive facility to customers.
• Provides assistance to other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
• Applicant must be able to maintain a friendly, service minded attitude in a physically demanding and fast paced environment.
• Must be detail oriented- able to assist patrons while safely keeping track of keys/parking layout etc.
• Seasonal outside duties must be completed, i.e. snow removal, trash collection, and sweeping.

Qualifications And Requirements

High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.

• Must have vision ability see objects and people at a distance.
• Must have finger, hand and upper body dexterity to grasp handles, carry bundles and lift packages.
• Must have upper body strength to continually lift and carry up to 65lbs throughout the hotel during entire shift.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and understand and follow verbal instruction.
• Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems.
• Able to run/keep an effective pace during shift

• Reading and writing abilities are used often when completing paperwork, logging issues/complaints/requests/ information updates, etc.
