Job summary

Kurt J. Lesker Company is seeking a hands-on Material Control Specialist to support our Vacuum Services operation in Glassport, PA. This role combines inventory management, material handling, shipping/receiving, and mechanical repair of vacuum pumps and related equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift and move materials in a production environment.
• Inventory, warehouse, maintenance, repair, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and operate forklift certification.
• Able to bend, stoop, squat, twist and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; assistance for over 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive, move, store, pick, and ship materials throughout the facility.
• Process inventory transactions in our ERP system.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain organized inventory locations.
• Disassemble, clean, repair, test, and paint vacuum pumps and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on Vacuum Services equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs.
• Operate a variety of shop equipment and material handling devices.
• Support Lean and 6S initiatives to improve workplace organization and efficiency.
