Kurt J. Lesker Company in Glassport, PA is seeking a Repair Technician for our Manufacturing/Repair & Manufacturing team.

The hands‑on onsite role focuses on evaluating, repairing, rebuilding, and testing mechanical vacuum pumps and related industrial devices. The successful candidate will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and use an ERP system to document repairs while upholding safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
• Read and follow product schematics and electrical part descriptions.
• Intermediate technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to obtain forklift certification and operate forklift safely.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internet applications.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, and lift up to 60 lbs unassisted.
• Fluent in English (reading and writing).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, repair, rebuild, and test mechanical vacuum pumps and related industrial devices.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems including motors, sensors, and wiring.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled equipment servicing.
• Follow work instructions and document repairs using an ERP system.
• Read and interpret part numbers, schematics, and measuring tools.
• Operate machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain safety standards and comply with company policies.
• Safely operate a forklift (certification required or obtainable).
• Participate in continuous improvement through the 6S Program.
• Collaborate across departments to support service center operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

This is a hands‑on, onsite role focused on evaluating, repairing, rebuilding, and testing mechanical vacuum pumps and industrial equipment. This position is ideal for mechanically inclined technicians who enjoy troubleshooting, working with tools and machinery, and supporting high‑quality repair services in a safety‑focused manufacturing environment.

Job Details:

• Reports to: Operations Manager
• Shift: 1st (Mon-Friday)

Key Responsibilities
