Job summary

Kurt J. Lesker Company is seeking a hands-on Material Control Specialist to support our Vacuum Services operation. This role combines inventory management, material handling, shipping/receiving, and mechanical repair of vacuum pumps and related equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift and move materials safely in a production setting.
• Experience in inventory, warehouse or manufacturing preferred.
• Forklift certification and safe operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, move, store, pick, and ship materials at the facility.
• Process inventory transactions in the ERP system.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain organized locations.
• Disassemble, clean, repair, test, and paint vacuum pumps and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on Vacuum Services equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs.
• Operate a variety of shop equipment and material handling devices.
• Support Lean and 6S initiatives to improve efficiency.

This role combines inventory management, material handling, shipping/receiving, and mechanical repair of vacuum pumps and related equipment. • Working Schedule: Mon-Friday (Daylight shift)

What You'll Do:

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills
• Ability to safely lift and move materials in a production environment
• Inventory, warehouse, maintenance, repair, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to obtain and forklift certification and operate safely.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist and lift up to and including 50 lbs. unassisted
• Assistance must be used for any items over this weight. Assistance is always required for anything weighing over 60 lbs.
