Job summary

Kurt J. Lesker Company is a global leader in vacuum solutions and is seeking a hands-on Material Control Technician to support our Vacuum Services operation in Glassport, PA.

The role combines inventory management, material handling, shipping/receiving, and mechanical repair of vacuum pumps and related equipment. If you enjoy troubleshooting equipment and working with tools, this full-time on-site opportunity offers a collaborative environment with Lean and 6S initiatives to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials in a production environment.
• Inventory, warehouse, maintenance, repair, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification and operate safely.

Responsibilities

• Receive, move, store, pick, and ship materials throughout the facility
• Process inventory transactions in our ERP system
• Perform cycle counts and maintain organized inventory locations
• Disassemble, clean, repair, test, and paint vacuum pumps and equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on Vacuum Services equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs
• Operate a variety of shop equipment and material handling devices
• Support Lean and 6S initiatives to improve workplace organization and efficiency
