Job summary

Pfeiffer Vacuum invites applications for an on-site Service Technician at our Austin service center. The role involves cleaning, installing, servicing, repairing and refurbishing complex vacuum equipment at the service center and client sites as needed.

You will use a wide range of hand and power tools, read failure codes, document work, and ensure adherence to safety standards. The position requires AA degree or related experience and strong English communication; occasional lifting and PPE

Qualifications

• AA degree or 1 year of related experience in service/repair of electronic or mechanical equipment.
• General mechanical and electrical aptitude required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Teamwork, self-motivation and multi-tasking are important.

Responsibilities

• Clean, install, service, repair and refurbish vacuum equipment and systems at the service center or customer sites.
• Use hand and power tools, measuring devices, meters and scopes to install, test and troubleshoot equipment.
• Adhere to Quality and Safety procedures.
• Record daily timesheets, service documentation and HR compliance updates.
• Read failure codes and readings to diagnose pump issues.
• Disassemble and decontaminate equipment as required.
• Support with equipment maintenance when needed.
