Job summary

Philips in Latham, NY is seeking a Welder to contribute to the manufacture of MRI magnet components. You will complete high-quality TIG and MIG welds and use precision instruments to fabricate intricate cryogenic assemblies, reading and interpreting drawings to ensure compliance.

This onsite, 2nd-shift role (Mon-Fri 3:20pm-11:30pm) requires 1+ year welding experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to operate bridge cranes and forklifts and to sign off documentation.

Qualifications

• 1+ year welding experience with TIG and MIG welding.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow assembly documents and sign off documentation.
• Experience operating bridge cranes and forklifts.
• Ability to perform vacuum leak-tight TIG welds on aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Complete high quality TIG and MIG welds using precision instruments.
• Cutting, bending, drilling, tapping to fabricate cryogenic assemblies.
• Read and understand drawings and supporting documents.
