Job summary

CORVAC COMPOSITES, LLC in Kentwood, MI is seeking a Machine Operator for 1st and 3rd shifts to operate Vacuum Former and Trim Press/Robot equipment to produce quality parts meeting customer requirements.

Ideal candidates will stand/walk for up to 10 hours, have strong reading/writing/math skills, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. OT may be required, and adherence to Safety and EMS protocols is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist for up to 10 hours.
• Must have excellent reading, writing, communication, and math skills.
• Ability to work OT as needed.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. continuously.
• High school diploma / GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including Safety, Quality, and EMS.
• Follow Standardized Work Instructions.
• Fully participate in and support the Corvac Quality System.
• Observe general and specific safety rules.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and contribute to the overall orderliness of the plant.
• Follow process instructions, machine adjustments, calibrations as set by the process tech, advise lead if outside of parameters.
• Responsible for the operation of the machine.
• Fill out all required paperwork including but not limited to production, scrap and downtime.
• Ability to train others as needed.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
