Job summary

Corvac Composites, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for all shifts in Kentwood, MI to maintain plant equipment and minimize downtime. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years of machine repair experience, and PLC troubleshooting.

You will work with hydraulic trim presses, vacuum formers, robotics, extrusion equipment, air compressors and chillers, reading electrical and mechanical drawings, welding operations, and following safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in machine repair of hydraulic trim presses, vacuum forming, robotic trim, extrusion equipment.
• PLC troubleshooting and understanding electrical prints/schematics.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings and manuals.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights over 60 feet.
• Minimum 5 years of experience or Journeyman Machine Repair.
• Must be able to pass a machine repair competency test.

Responsibilities

• Use drawings, schematics, manuals and specs to install, modify or repair machines.
• Apply PC/PLC knowledge and electrical schematics to troubleshoot equipment.
• Read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics for repairs.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and oxy/acetylene welding for equipment maintenance.
• Start/restart machines after changes to ensure operation.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns across presses, formers, robotics, compressors and chillers.
• Train and mentor other technicians as required.
• Maintain proper documentation and safety compliance.
