Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• 2–4 years manufacturing experience; lift truck certification required.
• Knowledge of molding/expansion processes; hydraulics and pneumatics helpful.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cycle times and adjust as needed.

• Conduct mechanical tasks: monitoring, sampling and testing, prep for maintenance.
• Monitor operations and material flow to meet quality specs.
• Assist maintenance with preventative maintenance projects.
• Back-up on running presses during breaks and to the shift supervisor.
• Conduct tests and trials; assist in repairs to optimize molding process.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.
• Install new equipment and repair/instrumentation/control systems.

Ventek Solutions is recruiting for aProcess Technician –3rdShift (11:00 pm – 7:30 am Sunday – Thursday)at our plant in Owosso, MI. This position reports to the Shift Supervisor. Safety, quality, productivity, and strong work ethic are important to Ventek Solutions.

PRIMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor cycle times and adjust as needed.
• Maintain accuracy of processes during production. Modify processes as required for product orders. Correct errors and work with operators to constantly improve process clarification and effectiveness.
• Conducting mechanical tasks such as process monitoring, sampling and testing, preparing and isolating equipment for maintenance.
• Monitor operations process, work, and material flow to ensure quality and customer specs are met.
• Monitor, record and gear press running towards press parameters.
• Assist maintenance with preventative maintenance projects.
• Back‑up on running presses during breaks, etc. and also back up to shift supervisor.
• Conduct test and trial runs as needed.
• Assist in repairs as needed to optimize the molding process.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Perform all duties in a manner that demonstrates the highest level of quality and safety.
• Provide repair and replacement of electrical and/or pneumatic instrumentation and control systems
• Installing new equipment

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED required; 2 – 4-year technical degree preferred.
• 2 - 4-year manufacturing experience preferred, must be a certified lift truck driver
• Basic knowledge of equipment and the molding/expansion process preferred along with hydraulics, pneumatics, steam systems, maintenance programs, etc.
• Good clerical, technical, and mechanical skills required. Ability to troubleshoot machines
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Position requires a self‑motivated individual who can multi-task; fast paced production setting.
