Job summary

Ventek Solutions, LLC is seeking a Process Technician – 3rd Shift (11:00 pm–7:30 am, Sun–Thu) at its Owosso, MI plant. The role reports to the Shift Supervisor and emphasizes safety, quality, productivity, and a strong work ethic.

Primary responsibilities include monitoring cycle times, ensuring process accuracy, and supporting maintenance and equipment upgrades. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 2–4 years in manufacturing, and a lift truck certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• 2–4 years manufacturing experience preferred; lift truck certification required.
• Basic knowledge of molding/expansion processes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and maintenance programs is helpful.
• Strong troubleshooting, clerical, and mechanical skills; able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cycle times and adjust processes to meet orders.
• Maintain process accuracy and adjust as needed for product specs.
• Assist maintenance with preventative maintenance and equipment upgrades.
• Back up on running presses during breaks and shift coverage.
• Ensure a clean, safe work area and adherence to quality standards.

Ventek Solutions, headquartered near Charleston, South Carolina, is a newly established entity following its acquisition by Black Diamond Capital Management (BDCM) from Sonoco Corporation. Ventek operates across 8 manufacturing facilities located in the US and Mexico. Our Mission is to be the premier foam molder and integrated solutions provider in North America, serving a wide range of markets with molded foam components and protective packaging, including returnable and integrated material solutions.
Ventek Solutions is recruiting for aProcess Technician –3rdShift (11:00 pm – 7:30 am Sunday – Thursday)at our plant in Owosso, MI. This position reports to the Shift Supervisor. Safety, quality, productivity, and strong work ethic are important to Ventek Solutions.

PRIMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor cycle times and adjust as needed.
• Maintain accuracy of processes during production. Modify processes as required for product orders. Correct errors and work with operators to constantly improve process clarification and effectiveness.
• Conducting mechanical tasks such as process monitoring, sampling and testing, preparing and isolating equipment for maintenance.
• Monitor operations process, work, and material flow to ensure quality and customer specs are met.
• Monitor, record and gear press running towards press parameters.
• Assist maintenance with preventative maintenance projects.
• Back‑up on running presses during breaks, etc. and also back up to shift supervisor.
• Conduct test and trial runs as needed.
• Assist in repairs as needed to optimize the molding process.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Perform all duties in a manner that demonstrates the highest level of quality and safety.
• Provide repair and replacement of electrical and/or pneumatic instrumentation and control systems
• Installing new equipment

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED required; 2 – 4-year technical degree preferred.
• 2 - 4-year manufacturing experience preferred, must be a certified lift truck driver
• Basic knowledge of equipment and the molding/expansion process preferred along with hydraulics, pneumatics, steam systems, maintenance programs, etc.
• Good clerical, technical, and mechanical skills required. Ability to troubleshoot machines
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Position requires a self‑motivated individual who can multi-task; fast paced production setting.
