Job summary

Ventek Solutions, LLC in Owosso, MI seeks a Process Technician for the 3rd shift (11:00 pm–7:30 am, Sun–Thu) to support foam molding operations. Reports to the Shift Supervisor and emphasizes safety, quality, productivity, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of manufacturing experience; forklift certification required.
• Knowledge of molding/expansion processes; hydraulics and pneumatics helpful.
• Strong troubleshooting, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical tasks including monitoring, sampling, testing, and maintenance prep.
• Back-up on presses and assist maintenance with preventive maintenance.

• Install, repair, and replace electrical/pneumatic instrumentation and control systems.

Ventek Solutions, headquartered near Charleston, South Carolina, is a newly established entity following its acquisition by Black Diamond Capital Management (BDCM) from Sonoco Corporation. Ventek operates across 8 manufacturing facilities located in the US and Mexico. Our Mission is to be the premier foam molder and integrated solutions provider in North America, serving a wide range of markets with molded foam components and protective packaging, including returnable and integrated material solutions. Ventek Solutions is recruiting for a Process Technician — 3rd Shift (11:00 pm — 7:30 am Sunday — Thursday) at our plant in Owosso, MI. This position reports to the Shift Supervisor. Safety, quality, productivity, and strong work ethic are important to Ventek Solutions.

PRIMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor cycle times and adjust as needed.
• Maintain accuracy of processes during production. Modify processes as required for product orders. Correct errors and work with operators to constantly improve process clarification and effectiveness.
• Conducting mechanical tasks such as process monitoring, sampling and testing, preparing and isolating equipment for maintenance.
• Monitor operations process, work, and material flow to ensure quality and customer specs are met.
• Monitor, record and gear press running towards press parameters.
• Assist maintenance with preventative maintenance projects.
• Back-up on running presses during breaks, etc. and also back up to shift supervisor.
• Conduct test and trial runs as needed.
• Assist in repairs as needed to optimize the molding process.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Perform all duties in a manner that demonstrates the highest level of quality and safety.
• Provide repair and replacement of electrical and/or pneumatic instrumentation and control systems
• Installing new equipment

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED required; 2 — 4-year technical degree preferred.
• 2 – 4-year manufacturing experience preferred, must be a certified lift truck driver
• Basic knowledge of equipment and the molding/expansion process preferred along with hydraulics, pneumatics, steam systems, maintenance programs, etc.
• Good clerical, technical, and mechanical skills required. Ability to troubleshoot machines
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Position requires a self-motivated individual who can multi-task; fast paced production setting.
• Excel, Outlook and other MS office applications
