Job summary

Merck is offering a Future Talent Program internship spanning 10-12 weeks in our Vaccines and Advanced Biotechnologies Process R&D division. Under a project mentor, you will perform benchwork to troubleshoot downstream processes and analyze results, contributing to purification bioprocess development and technology transfer toward manufacturing scale.

Qualifications

Candidates must be enrolled in a BS/BA in a related field.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be available to work full-time for 10-12 weeks starting in May or June 2027.
Strong record-keeping, adaptability, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Conduct laboratory benchwork to execute, optimize, and troubleshoot downstream process unit operations and basic analytical techniques.
Contribute to development of new principles and methods to enable process development and scale-up to pilot and manufacturing scale.
Design, execute, and analyze process development experiments to maximize understanding of purification bioprocesses.
