Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Lab Research Analyst I in Raleigh, NC. This hands‑on scientist supports development of vaccines by processing human and animal samples, performing complex immunological and molecular assays, and generating high‑quality data to advance research with global impact.

The role emphasizes precision in repetitive bench workflows, collaboration with scientists and leadership, and adherence to SOPs in a fully onsite, fast‑paced lab environment using advanced robotics and sequencing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Zoology, Botany, Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of laboratory research experience (Master's may substitute).
• Hands‑on experience with cell culture and primary cell culture techniques.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process human and animal samples for vaccine studies and clinical trials.
• Isolate, enrich, culture, and sequence B cells to evaluate antibody responses.
• Perform cell culture and maintain primary cell cultures.
• Conduct immunology and molecular biology assays including RT‑PCR, qPCR, ELISA, and sequencing prep.
• Operate flow cytometry for sorting/analysis and use FlowJo for data analysis.
