Job summary

Valor is seeking an on-site Property Maintenance Specialist to manage preventive maintenance and repairs for our vacation rental homes. This role requires hands-on work with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, plus strong guest service and issue resolution skills.

You will inspect properties before guest arrivals, coordinate with homeowners and vendors, and ensure guest safety and comfort while protecting property value. Training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent trade school, with building maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to operate basic hand-tools, miter saws, drills and other components within the engineering department.
• Two years of experience in building maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial pool operations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on vacation rental homes, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other systems.
• Conduct pre-arrival and departure inspections to identify needed repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness and general maintenance in engineering spaces and daily operations.
• PMs on ice machines and support kitchen staff with equipment issues.
• Diagnose HVAC issues, change filters, and report to Engineering Manager.
• Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, power failures, and weather-related incidents.
• Participate in special projects and communicate resort services to management and guests.
