Job summary

Mountaineer Cleaning & Maintenance is seeking a dependable Vacation Rental Maintenance Technician to care for multiple vacation rental properties in our service area. You will handle a variety of maintenance tasks across sites, perform inspections, and troubleshoot appliances, plumbing, HVAC, and more to keep units guest-ready.

Experience with HVAC is a major plus, and we value someone who can diagnose issues, work independently, and communicate clearly with the team.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of maintenance or similar hands-on experience.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to use common hand and power tools.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Comfort with technology, including an iPhone or iPad.
Ability to lift 40+ pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance, repairs, and property projects.
Conduct routine property inspections.
Diagnose and troubleshoot appliances, plumbing, HVAC, Wi‑Fi, TVs, and other systems.
Handle minor repairs before they escalate.
Maintain and service hot tubs (training provided).
Coordinate with outside vendors for specialist repairs.
Document completed work and communicate with the team.
Participate in team meetings and stay ahead of issues.
