Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; higher education welcome.
• 1+ years of high-volume phone experience — outbound calling, follow‑up, collections, scheduling, insurance verification, authorization follow‑up, or a comparable environment
• Comfort working a structured daily call list independently
• Experience with Salesforce or a similar system preferred
• Ability to handle confidential patient and business information appropriately, in accordance with HIPAA and company policies
• Healthcare, DME, or VA experience helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Call assigned VA facilities on a regular three-to-five day cycle to check the status of pending approvals
• Navigate VA phone systems, queues, and transfers to reach appropriate contacts
• Build contacts and shortcuts to make follow‑up calls more efficient
• Determine approval status and identify barriers or holdups
• Log status, barriers, and next follow‑up dates in Salesforce
• Hand off cases requiring documentation or administrative work to the responsible team
• Flag facility process changes and recurring problems to the manager
• Perform other duties as assigned
