Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans seeks an Academic Records/VA Certification Specialist to serve as the VA Certifying Official and primary contact for military education benefits. You will manage transcript processing and coordinate with the National Student Clearinghouse, supporting daily Registrar's Office operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 2–3 years' experience in a university setting or service-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and telephone skills are essential.
• Proficient in using computers, internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Must be able to deal with the confidentiality of student records.
• Must be results oriented and have the ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently
• Strong organizational and customer service skills
• Proven ability to adapt to change
• Team-oriented with a willingness to collaborate with others
• Ability to respond to inquiries via phone, email and in person
• Must be responsible, dependable, motivated, and willing to work under pressure in a multi-task environment
• Ability to learn policies and procedures
• Ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills as well as pay close attention to details

Responsibilities

• VA Certifying Official for VA benefits administration.
• Enter VA Certification via the Enrollment Management System.
• Track and submit updates on VA student enrollment using Banner and Enrollment Manager.
• Maintain VA training per VA requirements.
• Process Veteran students using ArmyIgnited.
• Oversee Transcript Processing via National Student Clearinghouse.
• Handle Student Readmission Processing.
• Manage Banner Document Management System Processing.
• Handle Registration related responsibilities.
• Manage Graduation related responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
