Job summary

Seventh Dimension LLC in Virginia Beach is seeking a UxS Flight Software & Autonomy Engineer to develop, integrate, test, deploy, and sustain software for unmanned systems and operational technologies.

The role covers mobile and fixed software, embedded systems, and autonomy solutions, with emphasis on mission planning, C2, and sensor fusion. Travel up to 10% contingent upon award; TS/SCI eligibility required.

Qualifications

• US citizen eligible for security clearance
• Active Secret security clearance with TS/SCI eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree or qualifying equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on professional experience with degree, or 7 years without degree
• Experience supporting unmanned systems software development and integration
• Proficiency in C and C++ programming
• Strong analytical thinking and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy mobile and fixed software solutions for unmanned systems
• Support embedded software on unmanned platforms and subsystems
• Develop software for command and control, ISR capabilities
• Design, test, document, and maintain software applications and utilities
• Support autonomous navigation and mission planning capabilities
• Develop and maintain communication interfaces using MAVLink
• Integrate operational technologies onto unmanned systems
• Configure mission planning and ground control software applications
• Implement and support sensor fusion and data processing
• Collaborate with engineers and end users to craft solutions
• Support testing, demonstrations, fielding events, and mission support
