Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker offers an Industrial Design 3D SURFACING intern position in Valley City, OH. You will support Industrial Designers with CATIA-based surface modeling, data reuse, and 3D CAD data management within a cross-functional team.

You will gain hands-on experience on multiple projects, learn best practices, and have a flexible schedule with a max of 40 hours. This Fortune 500 internship provides competitive pay ($22.00–$27.00 per hour), training, and opportunities for advancement

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
Familiarity with 3D CAD systems and an interest in surface creation (CATIA is a plus; training will be provided).
Strong aesthetic sense and ability to translate 2D sketches into 3D models.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing adaptable parametric surface models for new products using CATIA.
Support the team in utilizing data reuse techniques to enhance efficiency and quality.
Learn and follow 3D modeling best practices.
Help manage 3D CAD data using a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
Contribute to multiple projects, providing support as needed.
Help ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
