Stanley Black & Decker offers an Industrial Design 3D SURFACING intern position in Valley City, OH. You will support Industrial Designers with CATIA-based surface modeling, data reuse, and 3D CAD data management within a cross-functional team.

About Our Internship Program:

Throughout your internship, you will have regular events, weekly lunch and learn sessions, and receive customized training from our business units. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into supporting the needs of Stanley Black & Decker both in the US and abroad. The interns will gain first‑hand exposure to Stanley Black & Decker and have the opportunity to build a cross‑functional professional network. The Job:

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to support Industrial Designers with key activities including:

You will have exposure to several areas of Industrial Design 3D SURFACING at Stanley Black & Decker. You will work on a wide variety of tasks and projects with a cross‑functional team of professionals.

The Person:

The ideal Industrial Design 3D SURFACING intern candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD systems and an interest in surface creation (experience with CATIA is a plus; training will be provided).
• Strong aesthetic sense and ability to translate 2D sketches into 3D models.
• Basic understanding of design for manufacturing.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
• Self‑motivated with a positive attitude and good time management.
• Ability to work well within a team and balance multiple priorities.

The base pay range for this position is $22.00- $27.00 per hour. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
