Job summary

You will work with a cross-disciplinary team to uncover usability challenges and inform design improvements. The role covers study design through data collection, analysis, and final reporting, with opportunities to engage clients and contribute to proposals.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required; based in Phoenix area or willing to relocate.
• Wide knowledge of scientific literature and ability to adapt expertise to new problems.
• Experience designing and executing human subjects research studies using various methods.
• Ability to lead multiple studies from design to reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship required.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% for sessions and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Review literature, data, and standards to ground research and inform study design.
• Design and execute primary user research studies including usability testing, surveys, interviews, and observational research.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis of behavioral and performance metrics.
• Provide project management for multiple projects, including budgets and deadlines.
• Prepare written reports and clearly communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Develop client contacts and support business development through interactions and proposals.
• Occasionally travel for research sessions and client meetings.
