Job summary

Cadmus seeks a UX Researcher to join a federal program, conducting user research and usability studies to reveal customer needs. You’ll work with cross-functional teams, synthesize insights, and present findings to guide product decisions.

Responsibilities include planning research activities, facilitating workshops, and delivering artifacts like personas and journey maps to improve user experience across projects.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional UX research experience.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust is required; excellent communication and storytelling skills to present insights to diverse audiences.
• Experience with diverse UX research tools, remote testing tools, and online collaboration tools.
• Experience planning and executing end-to-end qualitative and quantitative user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys, etc.).
• Ability to select appropriate research methods based on goals and constraints.
• Thorough, process-minded, able to work independently and manage multiple studies.
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence decisions through evidence-based recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design, engineers, product teams, clients, and stakeholders to define problems, facilitate workshops, and drive user-centered product decisions.
• Support deep strategic thinking grounded in client and user discovery and research.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, market research, and competitive analysis to inform product direction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in iterative product discovery, design, and delivery cycles.
• Create research plans, personas, journey maps, and other artifacts communicating user needs.
• Inform future-state user flows, information architecture, sitemaps, and wireframes with research.
• Plan and facilitate workshops with stakeholders and users.
• Apply insights to inform product strategy and prioritize user-centered opportunities.
• Document research and testing notes, photos, audio, video, and reports.
• Contribute to best practices, templates, and workflows for research deliverables.
