Job summary

Google invites master's students to apply for a 12-week UX internship in the United States. Eligible candidates are in their penultimate year pursuing a Master’s in fields like Human Factors, Psychology, HCI, or CS, and must be located in the US for the duration.

English proficiency and submitting an English transcript are required. Interns will join a multi-disciplinary UX team to design and conduct research using qualitative and quantitative methods, then communicate findings to inform product

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Human Factors, Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.
Internship, work, or project experience with research design utilizing various methods (e.g., usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.).

Responsibilities

Design and conduct independent research using a variety of qualitative research methods, utilizing quantitative methods when necessary.
Ensure effective communication of research findings and advocate findings outside of the project team.
Collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs and online experiments (A/B testing).
Work cross-functionally with design, engineering, and product management to ensure teams make user-centric, data-driven decisions.
