Google's UX Research Internship invites PhD students in Human Factors, Psychology, HCI, Cognitive Science, CS, or Information Science to join a global team. English proficiency and US residency are required for the duration of the internship.

This 12-week, full-time program focuses on user research using qualitative and quantitative methods. You will collaborate with designers, researchers, and engineers to inform design decisions, with placements potentially across US campuses including Atlanta.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a PhD degree in a related field (Human Factors, Psychology, HCI, Cognitive Science, CS, Information Science).
• Experience with research design and methods (usability studies, surveys, contextual inquiry).

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct independent research using qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Communicate research findings clearly and advocate them beyond the project team.
• Collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, and experiments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, engineering and product management to drive user-centric decisions.
