Job summary

You will work with product, engineering, service design, and clinical partners to ensure enterprise-ready outcomes. The role emphasizes field research, rapid prototyping with AI, and owning a design system aligned with accessibility standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing end-to-end UX/UI across web, mobile, conversational or workflow apps.
• Healthcare experience in a large, complex organization within the last 3 years.
• Proven portfolio with shipped work and post-launch impact.
• Experience leading field research with users in their own settings.
• Ability to design with AI: create/run prototypes using AI agents or tools.
• Strong writing skills; decisions and findings documented.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product, eng, and clinical partners.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end experiences across channels including EHR workflow, SMS, voice, and portals.
• Specify how AI features behave, source provenance, and error handling.
• Prototype with AI/code tools and test with real users before build.
• Own and align design system with Optum brand and WCAG standards.
