UX Designer II
Why We Have This Role
We are seeking a UX Designer II in Reston, VA to join our passionate team of builders. Our leaders and customers expect us to push the boundaries of what an enterprise product can be, envisioning solutions across all platforms to directly impact the product roadmap and our customers’ goals. This person will work on our Customer Experience product line.
How You’ll Find Success
- Envision a UX design roadmap 1-2 years ahead, evolving by listening to customers and ideating groundbreaking solutions.
- Identify and address UX issues and opportunities, ensuring they are resolved.
- Lead collaboration across software development, product management, and marketing to create fluid, intuitive user experiences that scale seamlessly across desktop and mobile.
- Create interactive prototypes and wireframes to communicate design concepts, iterating based on stakeholder feedback and usability testing.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and UX best practices, seeking professional development opportunities to contribute innovative ideas.
How You’ll Grow
- Develop standards for sharing and documenting core design patterns, enabling engineers worldwide to build confidently.
- Engage directly with customers to understand how Qualtrics can better integrate into their workflows.
- Showcase technical acumen and grasp of technical concepts early to benefit the team.
Things You’ll Do
- Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes to communicate and test design ideas.
- Partner with engineering and product leads on a roadmap that pushes the boundaries of the Experience Management industry.
- Participate in UX critiques, sharing your work and iterating based on feedback.
- Translate usability study data into UI improvements, prioritizing them into sprint planning for immediate impact.
- Incorporate latest interaction design standards and trends to create intuitive enterprise products.
What We’re Looking For On Your Resume
- 3-5 years of experience in information architecture, UX, or interaction design.
- Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or related fields; Master’s preferred.
- Portfolio showcasing shipped products and design process.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional influence.
- Knowledge of web accessibility principles and experience in accessible design.
- Proficiency in Figma; familiarity with Coda and Jira is a plus.
