Job summary

Amazon Autos is seeking a UX Designer with deep expertise in Design Systems and Visual Design to evolve our design system and ensure visual consistency across web and mobile touchpoints. You will collaborate with product, engineering, research, and content teams to deliver scalable, premium design solutions.

You will prototype with AI-driven workflows, document components and patterns, and advocate for accessibility and brand alignment at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience building or contributing to a design system
• Proven ability to craft visuals and systems at scale
• Portfolio demonstrating visual design craft and systematic thinking
• Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma) including components and tokens
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design workflows and prompt-driven prototyping
• Strong understanding of responsive design and WCAG accessibility
• Ability to influence cross-functional partners

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the Amazon Autos design system—defining, documenting, and maintaining reusable components, patterns, tokens, and guidelines that scale across web and mobile experiences.
• Craft high-fidelity UI designs with typography, color, spacing, iconography, motion, and layout to ensure a premium brand experience.
• Design system components for AI-powered experiences and natural language-to-UI interfaces.
• Document components and patterns; collaborate with engineering to ensure accessibility compliance and governance.
• Work with engineers, researchers, product managers, and content designers to translate needs into elegant design solutions.
• Audit experiences for visual and interaction consistency; enforce governance and AI-assisted workflows.
• Share best practices, mentor peers, and contribute to team rituals and knowledge sharing.
• Create interactive prototypes and storytelling to validate concepts with stakeholders and customers.
