Job description

As the Senior UI/UX Designer, you will not only ensure a seamless experience for our ecosystem but also shape the strategic direction of product design at haku, ensuring product design contributes to key business outcomes. You will use your strong analytical skills and experience to guide the strategy, design, and implementation of complex solutions. You’ll collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to sort through the requirements and discovery process, translate this into what works for both the business and the users, and then figure out how to make it useful and beautiful.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead design, driving design strategy and execution across products and workflows that improve customer experiences, create revenue-generating opportunities, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Continuously collaborate with your Product Manager to ensure alignment to the problem, customer, and product vision.
  • Manage multiple projects and initiatives at different stages of development concurrently.
  • Own and define UX strategy for products across verticals, ensuring the strategy aligns to larger company goals and objectives.
  • Partner with product and engineering leadership to oversee execution.
  • Formalize a user research and testing strategy.
  • Own and define how haku’s design system and processes evolve to meet the needs of enterprise software and scale with the business.
  • Act as a player-coach, jumping in to help with design when needed based on company priorities.
  • Champion design at the leadership level, ensuring that user experience informs and shapes product and business strategy.
  • Mentor, coach, and help grow the design team, scaling our design function as the company expands.
  • Establish metrics to track the success of shipped experiences, regularly reporting outcomes and insights to product and company leadership.
Who You Are
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer, UX designer, or similar role.
  • A design portfolio highlighting strong problem-solving, interaction, and visual design skills.
  • Ability to own design projects end-to-end from concept to implementation.
  • Experience conducting, synthesizing, and applying insights from UX research.
  • Skilled in the design review cycle, able to achieve stakeholder alignment.
  • Proven experience shipping both responsive web and native app experiences.
  • Significant experience designing for enterprise business software.
  • Proficiency with modern design tools (Figma, Sketch, etc.) and design systems.
  • Proven ability to influence product direction and champion user experience at the leadership level.
  • Experience building scalable design systems, frameworks, and processes to support a growing design function.
  • Strong ability to measure, report, and communicate the ROI and business impact of design initiatives.
