Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Storm2 is hiring a UX / Product Designer for a remote role in consumer FinTech. You will own end-to-end design from discovery to delivery, build a design system, and collaborate with Product and Engineering.
You will redesign customer journeys across web and mobile, create wireframes and high-fidelity assets in Figma, and influence product decisions in a fast-moving startup environment.
UX / Product Designer – Consumer FinTech Remote $120,000 – $175,000
Consumer FinTech business undertaking a major modernisation of its customer-facing product suite. With strong traction in a regulated financial-services environment, they’re investing heavily in both platform infrastructure and product experience, including a complete refresh of their mobile applications across iOS and Android.
This isn’t a role where you’ll inherit an established design function or spend your days making incremental tweaks to an existing system.
The business has historically relied on engineers to own much of the product design work, and they’re now looking for someone who can bring structure, customer thinking, and strong execution to the experience. You’ll be the first dedicated design hire, partnering closely with Product and Engineering to rethink customer journeys, modernise interfaces, and build a design system that can support future growth.
The opportunity suits someone who enjoys ownership and ambiguity. You’ll need to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery, moving comfortably from identifying friction in an onboarding flow to designing the solution in Figma and supporting implementation alongside engineers.
Most design roles ask you to optimise an existing product. This one asks you to help redefine it.
You’ll join as the company’s first dedicated designer, giving you significant influence over the customer experience, design standards, and product direction. There’s backing from senior product leadership, a clear business need, and a genuine appetite for change.
If you’ve worked in consumer FinTech and have ever wanted the chance to build the design function rather than inherit it, this is the sort of opportunity that doesn’t come around often.
