Job summary

7Seventy seeks a Product Designer to craft polished web and mobile experiences across digital banking and travel booking products. You will own design from concepts to production-ready interfaces, shaping visuals, interactions, and design systems to scale with the product.

Youll work closely with product, design leadership and engineers using React and TypeScript to deliver premium interfaces, while occasionally contributing to brand assets and marketing visuals.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional design experience with 3+ years in product design.
• Experience shipping production digital products for web and mobile.
• Experience contributing to a design system or component library.
• Proficiency with Figma for professional digital product design.

About the Role

This Product Designer opportunity focuses on creating polished web and mobile experiences across digital banking and travel booking products. The position involves owning design work from early concepts through production-ready user interfaces, shaping visual and interaction design, and evolving design systems to maintain consistency as products scale. Responsibilities span banking features, including accounts, payment cards, and transactions, as well as travel experiences involving award flight searches, bookings, and itineraries.

The role emphasizes exceptional visual design quality alongside functional user experiences. Working closely with product stakeholders, design leadership, and engineering teams using React and TypeScript, the designer will translate premium brand identity into intuitive, visually refined digital interfaces. The position also includes occasional contributions to brand assets and marketing-related visual direction.

What You'll Do

• Design end-to-end web and mobile user experiences for digital banking and travel booking applications.
• Create intuitive interfaces for banking functionality, including account management, debit and credit cards, and transaction experiences.
• Develop user interfaces for award travel features, including flight searches, booking workflows, and itinerary management.
• Take product designs from initial concepts through detailed visual and interaction design to polished, production-ready UI.
• Extend and improve existing design systems and UI component libraries to strengthen consistency, scalability, and visual quality across products.
• Translate established brand identity into digital product interfaces that deliver a cohesive, premium visual experience.
• Apply strong visual design judgment to refine interface aesthetics, interaction details, and overall product presentation.
• Collaborate directly with product and engineering teams working with React and TypeScript to support implementation and delivery of high-quality interfaces.
• Contribute occasionally to brand design assets and marketing visual direction while maintaining product design as the primary focus.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• At least 5 years of professional design experience, including a minimum of 3 years specifically in product design.
• Demonstrated experience designing and shipping at least one real, production-released digital product rather than exclusively conceptual or portfolio projects.
• Experience contributing to an established design system or UI component library.
• Hands-on experience designing digital products for both web and mobile platforms, including iOS and Android.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Figma for creating and developing professional digital product designs.
• Exceptional visual design capabilities, supported by a strong portfolio demonstrating polished, high-quality user interfaces.
• Ability to create effective user experiences and refined interaction designs across web and mobile applications.
• Ability to develop product designs from early-stage concepts into detailed, production-ready user interfaces.
• Practical understanding of design systems and the ability to contribute to consistent, reusable UI patterns and components.
• Ability to work closely with product and engineering teams throughout the design and implementation process.
• Comfort working independently with substantial ownership and autonomy in a fast-moving, lean startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous product design experience in fintech, travel technology, or consumer-facing applications.
• Personal interest in award travel, travel hacking, loyalty points, or airline miles.
• Remote-first work arrangement within the United States, with company hubs in Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area.
