Job summary

Ameritas seeks a User Experience (UX) Intern to enhance customers’ digital experiences by researching UX across our platforms. This hybrid role is based in Cincinnati, OH or Lincoln, NE with 40 hours per week for a 3-month summer internship starting May 2027.

You’ll design intuitive experiences, create prototypes, and collaborate with product owners, developers, and designers from concept to launch. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Master’s program in HCI/Design, have UX or digital product

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Master’s program for entire internship duration.
• Experience in UX or digital product design (academic, internship, or personal projects).
• Familiarity with design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and AI-assisted design techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive digital experiences aligned with goals and user needs.
• Translate complex challenges into user-centered solutions.
• Conduct and analyze UX research to inform design decisions.
• Create prototypes and deliverables to communicate ideas to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and designers from concept to launch.
• Partner with UI developers to align design intent with implementation.
• Support product iteration based on research and feedback.
• Contribute to design system consistency and accessibility standards.
• Participate in project meetings and advocate for the user perspective.
• Explore integration of AI tools to enhance design processes and accessibility.
