Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Summer Intern in User Experience (UX) Research to collaborate with our Global Software Solutions teams. You’ll assist in research and design throughout the product lifecycle, documenting user needs, conducting generative and evaluative research, and supporting design deliverables.

Qualifications

• Enrollment as a student in UX, HCI, or related field at a post-secondary institution.
• Portfolio showcasing research work and user-centered stories.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the UX team to develop research informing personas and journey maps.
• Conduct surveys, interviews, and usability tests to gather user insights.
• Create design research plans, recruit participants, and present findings to cross-functional teams.
• Communicate research outcomes to product and business partners.
• Support design deliverables like user flows and prototypes for feedback.
• Work with product and development teams on concept feasibility and hand-offs.
