United Airlines’ Digital Technology team seeks a UX Designer to craft seamless, user-centric experiences for our digital platforms. You will translate user needs into actionable designs, collaborate with product management, research, design, and engineering teams, and deliver innovative solutions while aligning with business goals.
The role emphasizes wireframes, prototypes, and interactions, with a focus on accessibility, responsive design, and scalable design systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or related experience in UX/UI Design, HCI, or related field.
- 1+ years in a digital design role within cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, UX heuristics, and cross-platform strategies.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, ProtoPie, Framer, or equivalents.
- Synthesize user and stakeholder feedback, research into actionable design decisions.
- Identify opportunities and justify recommendations with research and inspiration.
Responsibilities
- Strategic UX design: create wireframes, prototypes and interactions addressing user pain points.
- Ensure designs align with user-centered principles, accessibility, and branding.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure design consistency across applications and platforms.
- Own microcopy with UX copywriting across touchpoints, ensuring clarity and brand alignment.
- Help ensure design systems are scalable and valuable.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Collaborate with product management, research, engineering, and stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed design specs, style guides, and interaction docs with managers.
