Job summary
United Airlines seeks a Manager of UX to lead a design team responsible for the UX of united.com and the Unified application. You will balance business needs with user-centric design and guide multiple designers through research, testing, and launches.
You will apply design thinking to complex challenges, ensure consistency with the ATMOS system, and collaborate with executives and product owners to shape future design directions.
Qualifications
- Experience leading UX process-improvement initiatives.
- Experience participating in cross-functional UX design thinking teams.
- Proficiency with Sketch, Figma, InVision, Zeplin and industry-standard design tools.
- Experience applying design systems and enterprise design practices in production environments.
- Experience managing phased deliverables across a client-focused design framework.
Responsibilities
- Lead the UX design process for United.com and the Unified app, aligning business needs with delivery.
- Oversee design thinking, research, testing, and launches.
- Provide training and growth opportunities for the Center UX group.
- Plan, create, and execute design solutions across complex UX/UI challenges.
- Refine content and UX strategy to improve client experience.
- Ensure adherence to the ATMOS design system and company values.
- Manage executive stakeholders and enable designers to explore space.
- Identify opportunities to leverage design for existing interactions.
- Assess feasibility and scalability of new ideas.
- Provide input to architects and product owners on future design needs.
