Job summary

Steampunk is seeking a UX/CX Designer to lead digital customer experience measurement and accessibility conformance for a large federal advisory program. You will guide the client through our Design Intelligence framework, planning and executing CX initiatives from discovery to measurement while ensuring user needs shape recommendations.

The role requires 5+ years of UX/CX research and design, knowledge of WCAG 2.1, and experience in Agile teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of UX/CX research and design experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of Section 508/WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
Experience conducting user research methods and usability/ accessibility testing.
Experience working in an Agile delivery framework and communicating insights.

Responsibilities

Lead a Digital CX Measurement and Reporting Plan aligned to standards.
Conduct user workshops and interviews to frame pain points and inform journey maps.
Establish CX measurement baselines and priority journey maps for services.
Translate user needs into CX priorities and recommendations.
Own pre-release accessibility conformance checks (Section 508/WCAG 2.1).
Collaborate with an Agile team and support executive dashboards.
