Job summary

Steampunk, Inc. seeks a UX/UI Designer to guide government clients through our Design Intelligence framework from discovery through interface design. You will conduct research, prototyping, iteration, visual design, usability and accessibility testing, ensuring the voice of the customer is heard in the final solution.

You will collaborate on a cross‑functional team in an Agile environment, delivering intuitive, accessible interfaces that meet complex employer and stakeholder needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Public Trust Security Clearance.
• 4+ years of professional UX and UI experience designing multi‑platform products.
• Portfolio demonstrating methods, tools, and craft.
• Experience in user research including interviews, workshops and personas.
• UI design with wireframes, prototypes, and accessibility testing.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and writing user stories.

Responsibilities

• Guide government clients through the Design Intelligence framework from discovery to interface design.
• Plan and execute UX initiatives including research, prototyping, and usability testing.
• Translate user needs into an implementable digital experience.
• Collaborate with a cross‑functional team in an Agile environment.
