Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Co. is seeking a UX Copywriter to craft clear, accessible copy across web and mobile interfaces.
You will work closely with UX designers, product owners, and engineers to plan, write and refine copy that guides users through the experience. You will help define hierarchy for screen readers, improve navigation language, and support testing (A/B where applicable) to optimize messaging.
The UX Team at HMHCO, part of Digital Product Design (DPD), focuses on building an intuitive digital experience for teachers, students, and administrators in and out of the classroom. We work to simplify and delight teachers and administrators while helping students to achieve success with the HMHCO product lines.
We are looking for a UX Copywriter with a proven track record of writing, editing and testing the copy and instructions for software and platforms, in an iterative approach. You know that an application is just as good as the instructions, naming convention, and voice that guides the users through the entire experience. Clarity is very important to you while making sure any screen reader can follow you.
