NC State University seeks a UTS - Temporary Radiology Technician to perform radiographic imaging and patient positioning for procedures within the Radiology department in Raleigh, NC. You will interact with staff, patients, and providers, ensuring quality control and clean, safe equipment operation.

Qualified candidates graduate from a radiology program with ARRT certification and CPR. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and experience with EHR software are expected.

Qualifications

  • ARRT certification.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records software.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Skilled in the use of radiology equipment and in the performance of procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and practice good judgment to ensure high-quality care.
  • Ability to perform specialized orthopedic procedures such as weight-bearing lower extremities.
  • CPR certification (can also obtain during position)
  • ARRT certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent patient care by applying full knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
  • Provide quick and accurate information regarding each patient, acting as a liaison between clinicians and radiologists.
  • Proficiently enter data into the electronic health record.
  • Maintain a clean working environment to ensure standards are followed and infection is not spread.
  • Handle medical, biological, and infectious waste appropriately.
  • Follow all radiation safety, OSHA , and Environmental Health and Safety standards.
