The Texas Department of Transportation's Transportation Planning and Programming Division is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as Unified Transportation Program/Portfolio Performance Director. This highly visible leadership position plays a critical role in guiding transportation investments and development across one of the largest transportation networks in the nation.
In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of the Unified Transportation Program and directly inform and advise on project development, oversee complex analyses that help drive strategic investment decisions, and provide policy and programming recommendations to executive leadership. You will collaborate with transportation professionals across Texas, work closely with district leaders and division directors, engage with local, state, and national stakeholders to advance transportation priorities, and directly advise the highest members of TxDOT leadership including the Texas Transportation Commission.

The UTP/Portfolio Performance Director directs and oversees complex transportation programming and portfolio performance activities in support of the Texas Department of Transportation's the Unified Transportation Program and Statewide Transportation Improvement Program. Oversees the programming of federal, state, and other transportation funds; advises executive leadership on portfolio management; statewide transportation planning and programming; and manages a team of professional and technical staff. Works extensively with TxDOT districts, divisions, local and regional partners, and national transportation stakeholders to support transportation investment decisions across Texas.
Bachelor's Degree in Public/business administration, transportation planning or engineering.
Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
