The City of West Linn is seeking a Public Works Laborer to perform manual and semi-skilled tasks in city facilities' maintenance and construction projects. You will weed whack, trim trees, water, shovel, and operate basic equipment under supervision, with opportunities to support storm, streets, environmental and water departments.
Qualifications include being at least 18, having a valid driver's license, ability to follow written and oral instructions, and passing a pre-employment background
Under the general supervision of the Public Works Supervisors this position performs a variety of manual, semi-skilled, and equipment operation tasks in the construction, maintenance and operation of city facilities. The City of West Linn provides qualifying veterans, disabled veterans,state service members, or formerstate service members”with preference in employment in accordance with state law. Any candidate wishing to have their qualifying veteran's preference applied to the process must submit a qualifying document (DD Form 214 or 215) at the time of application as well as the City's Veteran's Preference Form, providing proof of eligibility that includes discharge status.
