The Hamilton City School District is seeking an Interim Utility Worker to maintain the transportation system for safe bus operation. Responsibilities include driving buses, performing maintenance, and assisting during breakdowns.

Utility Worker (11-month position)
Reports to: Director of Transportation
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Description: Provides maintenance service to the transportation system of the Hamilton City School District, keeping all buses operating in a safe and efficient manner; may act as a substitute bus driver for routes or field trips.
Qualifications: Excellent driving skills with a valid CDL with school bus, air brake, and passenger endorsements; knowledge of mechanical tools; familiarity with engine components.
Physical Demands: Regularly lifts parts up to 150 pounds; ability to work in confined spaces for lengthy periods of time; repeated turning/twisting; repeated push/pull on fingers, hands, wrists, shoulders, elbows, and back; climbing up and down on bus hoods and ladders; reaching and working with hands over head; repeated movements to and from the floor/ground; standing and working on concrete.
Overtime is expected with this position, as the District may still need the Utility Worker to drive a bus depending on driver numbers.
