Key Responsibilities
- Set up the dishwashing station, including the dish machine, presoak areas, and required chemical supplies.
- Wash, sanitize, organize, and properly store dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, and kitchen utensils.
- Monitor chemical levels and water temperatures according to sanitation and equipment requirements.
- Operate and clean dishwashing equipment according to manufacturer instructions.
- Report equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or required repairs promptly.
- Clean kitchen equipment and surfaces, including hoods, filters, steam tables, bus tables, carts, ovens, and grills.
- Maintain clean and organized kitchens, workstations, and storage areas.
- Follow productivity, sanitation, food-safety, security, and emergency procedures.
- Assist with meeting-room setup, guest requests, or other hotel support duties when assigned.
- Perform other related duties within the associate’s training and capabilities.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, hospital, residential, or care-facility environment is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Food-handler certification preferred at hire and may be required after employment.
- Knowledge of safe dishwashing procedures, cleaning chemicals, sanitation requirements, and proper equipment use.
- Dependable, trustworthy, service-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate professionally with guests and coworkers.
Physical and Scheduling Requirements
- With or without reasonable accommodation, the associate must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, stretch, and reach; lift or carry up to 30 pounds; and push or pull up to 60 pounds.
- This on-site position may require varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
