Renaissance - ST. AUGUSTINE HISTORIC DOWNTOWN is seeking a Utility Worker/Dishwasher to join our on-site hospitality team. You will help maintain a clean, safe kitchen and support the food-and-beverage team in delivering guest service.

The role involves setting up the dishwashing area, washing and organizing dishes, and assisting with various hotel support duties. Hospitality experience is preferred, along with a high school diploma and food-handler certification if applicable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, hospital, residential, or care-facility environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food-handler certification preferred at hire and may be required after employment.
• Knowledge of safe dishwashing procedures, cleaning chemicals, sanitation requirements, and proper equipment use.
• Dependable, trustworthy, service-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate professionally with guests and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Set up the dishwashing station, including the dish machine, presoak areas, and required chemical supplies. Wash, sanitize, organize, and properly store dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, and kitchen utensils. Monitor chemical levels and water temperatures according to sanitation and equipment requirements. Operate and clean dishwashing equipment according to manufacturer instructions. Report equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or required repairs promptly. Clean kitchen equipment and surfaces, including hoods, filters, steam tables, bus tables, carts, ovens, and grills. Maintain clean and organized kitchens, workstations, and storage areas. Follow productivity, sanitation, food-safety, security, and emergency procedures. Assist with meeting-room setup, guest requests, or other hotel support duties when assigned. Perform other related duties within the associate’s training and capabilities.
