Job summary

LBA Hospitality is hiring for a Utility Worker/Dishwasher to support the food-and-beverage team in delivering excellent guest service at our hotel. The role involves cleaning and organizing dishes, cookware, equipment, and kitchen areas, while adhering to sanitation standards.

The position is on-site with varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Previous kitchen or hotel experience is preferred, and Food-handler certification may be required after employment.

Qualifications

• Hotel/restaurant, hospital, residential, or care-facility kitchen experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food-handler certification preferred at hire and may be required after employment.

Responsibilities

• Set up the dishwashing station, including the dish machine and required chemical supplies.
• Wash, sanitize, organize, and store dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, and kitchen utensils.
• Monitor chemical levels and water temperatures per sanitation requirements.
• Operate and clean dishwashing equipment per manufacturer instructions.
• Report equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or repairs promptly.
• Clean kitchen equipment and surfaces, including hoods, filters, steam tables, bus tables, carts, ovens, and grills.
• Maintain clean and organized kitchens, workstations, and storage areas.
• Follow productivity, sanitation, food-safety, security, and emergency procedures.
• Assist with meeting-room setup, guest requests, or other hotel support duties.
• Perform other related duties within training and capabilities.

Join our hospitality team and help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen. The Utility Worker/Dishwasher cleans and organizes dishes, cookware, equipment, and kitchen areas while supporting the food-and-beverage team in delivering excellent guest service.

• Wash, sanitize, organize, and properly store dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, and kitchen utensils.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, hospital, residential, or care-facility environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food-handler certification preferred at hire and may be required after employment.
• Knowledge of safe dishwashing procedures, cleaning chemicals, sanitation requirements, and proper equipment use.
• Dependable, trustworthy, service-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate professionally with guests and coworkers.

Physical And Scheduling Requirements

• With or without reasonable accommodation, the associate must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, stretch, and reach; lift or carry up to 30 pounds; and push or pull up to 60 pounds.
