Job summary

MiTek Industries is hiring for a plant-based role focused on housekeeping, materials handling, and assisting production. You will clean the plant and office, support production tasks, and assist with moving materials using hand or forklift methods. Heavy lifting and deep cleaning of equipment are required as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 0–3 months related experience.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required.
• Read a tape measure.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and management on safety issues.
• Some PC skills helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean the plant, office, and all assigned areas to meet operations standards.
• Assist production as directed.
• Load and unload materials onto/from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or forklift.
• Lift heavy objects by hand or with power hoist and deep clean work area, machines, and equipment.

Job Responsibilities & RequirementsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Clean the plant, office, and all other assigned areas to meet standards required for operations.Assist production as assigned and directed.Follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved, replaced or re-ordered.Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or forklift.Lift heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and deep clean work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required, to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift.Perform other duties as assigned.SKILLS & ABILITIES:Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
