Job summary

The Marvin Group in the Los Angeles area is seeking a Utility Worker to support assembly and manufacturing operations for defense-grade equipment. The role emphasizes adherence to safety, quality controls, and proper material handling to meet program requirements.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Experience with SAP, forklift, and pallet jacks is preferred. E-Verify participation is noted.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with proper material, parts and product handling.

• Assist operations with assembly/manufacturing processes.
• Use basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, hammer, etc.).
• Perform quality checks to ensure product meets standards.
• Identify defects and follow non-conformance procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• May operate forklift or pallet jacks, cranes and hoist.
• Able to bend, twist, walk and stand for entire shift.
• Perform other duties as required.

Marvin Engineering designs and produces military Alternate Mission Equipment. Marvin Test Solutions designs and manufactures armament Test Equipment. Scope:

Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area is searching for a Utility Worker. With a 50+ year foundation, The Marvin Group supports all branches of the Department of Defense and allies around the globe on an array of programs and platforms. We support many military prime contractors including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grummanand Raytheon.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure compliance with proper material, parts and product handling at all times.
• Adherence to procedural requirements for packaging and unpackaging of materials, parts and product.
• Follow all Safety regulatory and company policies and procedures.
• Assist Operations work centers with Assembly and/or Manufacturing processes.
• Use basic hand tools, i.e., screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, hammer, ratchets & sockets, ruler, calipers.
• Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards.
• Identify defects and take appropriate measures communicate and follow established non-
• non-conformance procedures.
• Perform all work in accordance with highest quality standards and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• May operate Forklift, electrical or manual palletjacks, cranes and jib hoist.
• Able to bend, twist, walk and stand for entire shift.
• Perform other duties as required.

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

• Maintain awareness and understanding of documents published in the BMS Library
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
• Basic computer skills
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Work, and Excel)
• Ability to perform work accurately, timely and thoroughly
• Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem, with thinking in such a way as to produce a
• new idea and concepts
• Detailed-oriented and self-motivation skills
• Must be able to speak/read/write English
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs

Preferred:

• 1-2 years forklift experience
• Experience using a Pallet Jack
• Experience in using SAP system
