Job summary

The Marvin Group, based in Southern California near LAX, is seeking a manufacturing/assembly role in a fast-paced environment. You will package, assemble and operate basic hand tools; comply with safety and quality standards; and use ERP systems while reading and communicating effectively in English.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, forklift experience, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs, with proficiency in Office Suite.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Forklift experience preferred (1–2 years).
  • Proficient with ERP systems.
  • Strong English reading/writing and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with proper material, parts and product handling.
  • Adherence to packaging and unpackaging procedures.
  • Follow all Safety regulatory and company policies and procedures.
  • Assist Operations work centers with Assembly and/or Manufacturing processes.
  • Use basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, hammer, etc.).
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure product meets quality standards.
  • Identify defects and follow non-conformance procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • May operate Forklift, palletjacks, cranes and related equipment.

Marvin Engineering designs and produces military Alternate Mission Equipment. Marvin Test Solutions designs and manufactures armament Test Equipment. Marvin Land Systems specializes in the design and build of power and thermal management systems. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance with proper material, parts and product handling at all times.
  • Adherence to procedural requirements for packaging and unpackaging of materials, parts and product.
  • Follow all Safety regulatory and company policies and procedures.
  • Assist Operations work centers with Assembly and/or Manufacturing processes.
  • Use basic hand tools, i.e., screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, hammer, ratchets & sockets, ruler, calipers.
  • Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards.
  • Identify defects and take appropriate measures communicate and follow established non-
  • non-conformance procedures.
  • Perform all work in accordance with highest quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • 10.May operate Forklift, electrical or manual palletjacks, cranes and jib hoist.
  • Able to bend, twist, walk and stand for entire shift.
  • Perform other duties as required.
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Maintain awareness and understanding of documents published in the BMS Library
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Understanding of ERP Systems
  • Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
  • Office Suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Ability to perform work accurately, timely and thoroughly
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem, with thinking in such a way as to produce a
  • new idea and concepts
  • Detailed-oriented and self-motivation skills
  • 1-2 years forklift experience (a plus)
  • Must be able to speak/read/write English
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs

SALARY: $ 16.82 - $ 23.07

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Manufacturing and/or Machining environment
