Job summary

Marvin Engineering Co., near Los Angeles International Airport, seeks an assembler to join the team responsible for assembling and testing electrical components such as harnesses, power supplies, mechanical assemblies, capacitors, and switches. You will read blueprints, set up equipment, wire and solder as needed, and ensure on-time shipment dates.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and 1–3 years of related experience, can lift up to 35 lbs, and are proficient in English.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years related experience or training.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates equipment setup and operation, techniques of assembly, wiring, and soldering.

SCOPE

Be part of a team that is engaged in assembly and testing of electrical components for example harnesses, power supplies, mechanical assemblies, capacitors, and switches, applying knowledge of assembly techniques, equipment setup, and testing procedures.

Skills / Requirements

• High School Diploma, and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read, technical procedures, drawings, specifications, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
• Familiarity with MRP/ERP software. Knowledge of SAP ERP software preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be able to speak/read/write English.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Frequent standing, walking, or sitting.
• Occasionally required to bend, stoop, or kneel.
