Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Utility Technician - 3rd Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $18.89 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Job Summary: Eaton’s Electrical Sector is seeking a Utility Technician to join our team. This role will be dedicated to maintaining training and supporting operations within the department. The ideal candidate will be a versatile floater, proficient in all roles within the department, and capable of ensuring seamless operations and training.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Training and Development (70%):
   1. Implement, update, and maintain department training procedures for new and existing employees.
   2. Participate in updating training materials and bringing new ideas/proposals to enhance the process.
   3. Provide feedback on employee training as part of the performance evaluation process for new hires and contingent workers.
   4. Conduct hands-on training sessions and learning throughout the shift.
   5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training given to employees.
   6. Maintain department training records and documentation.
   7. Provide ongoing support and mentorship to employees.
2. Operational Support (30%):
   1. Assist in daily operations across various roles within the department.
   2. Perform machine setups, troubleshooting, and operation.
   3. Collaborate with the Group Leader, Job Setter, and Production Supervisor to meet Safety, Production, and Quality requirements.
   4. Ensure compliance with Quality Procedures, including Quality Alerts, process deviations, and error-proof device functionality.
   5. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and play books (work instructions).
   6. Complete 5S+ activities daily to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Required:

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. 1 Year of Experience training others.
3. Legally authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship.
4. Reside within 50 miles of Greenwood, South Carolina (no relocation provided).

• Preferred:

1. 3 years of manufacturing experience.
2. Experience with quality standards and inspection techniques.
3. Experience in operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
4. Proficiency in slitting, cutting, and folding major insulation paper.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
